First, you need a plan...Treat this storage space move-in like a game of Tetris. Stack as tight and high as safely possible. Remember that Linden Self Storage offers a lot of extra vertical space in each unit that many facilities do not. Keep items you need to access a lot closer to the door.
Make sure you properly mark boxes. Nothing worse than bringing home old socks when you meant to grab the kitchen utensils.
Always cover up important items. Blankets, sheets, tarps, and visqueen work well.
Remember to stack by weight. Don't put grandma's China doll box underneath the old dumbbell set you never use. You'll hear about it later.
Fill up all the storage space. Appliances and dressers are great places to throw your old dvd's and magazines that nobody likes anymore.
Trash cans make excellent yard tool organizers while in self storage. Throw all the shovels, clippers and rakes in there. You'll thank me later when you don't have Tetanus.
Don't forget hazardous materials are a big no-no in storage units. Please drain the gas out of all your favorite small engine machines before storing. Nobody wants their couch to smell like 89 octane and we certainly don't want to see anything catch fire.
